Reading hardcover books and printed newspapers can be an enjoyable tactile experience. Meanwhile, reading digital content can be a feature-rich experience that enables sharing and discovery.
I designed and developed Snapnews to bridge print and online news mediums. Using Apple’s Vision framework for optical character recognition and The New York Times API, Snapnews enables users to view an article online after a quick scan of its corresponding print headline with a mobile phone.
Snapnews is available for download in the App Store and is listed on Product Hunt.
The project files are available on Github.
