Reading hardcover books and printed newspapers can be an enjoyable tactile experience. Meanwhile, reading digital content can be a feature-rich experience that enables sharing and discovery.
I designed and developed SnapNews as a side project to bridge New York Times print and online mediums. Using Apple’s Vision framework for optical character recognition and The New York Times API, the app enables users to view an article online after a quick scan of its corresponding print headline with a mobile phone.
The project files are available on Github.
